6 Things You Must Do While In Nice

Advertisements

Trying to squeeze in a last minute excursion to the French Riviera? Is Nice up on the menu? Whether you’re here for ten days or two these are a few things you have to do between your beach lounging sessions.

Take A Bike Ride Along The Promenade des Anglais

This may sound like a no-brainer, but it’s crazy how often we forget to enjoy the little things! Rent a bike and take in all the natural beauty of those rocky shores, and when you’re done grab a drink at Le Negresco’s Bar where each bartender has their own special cocktail; try them all.. if you dare.

Enjoy The View From The Colline du Château

Whether you’re like me trying to recapture that famous Nice painting or just want to score a pic of the entire coastline this is the perfect place to do it. While you’re up there don’t forget to wander around the grounds of the park, you’ll find more than just a view up there…

Visit Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild And Feel Like A Princess (Or Prince)

Only a short 20 minute ride east to the peninsula of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat you’ll find the beautiful gardens of Villa Rothchild. Built in 1912 by the Baroness Béatrice de Rothchild, with all the opulence worthy of the banking family, this luxurious home is nothing short of incredible! Enjoy a stroll by the musical fountains while looking at roman statues, and when you’re ready for a break enjoy some afternoon tea overlooking the Mediterranean sea (like what I did there?).

Shop Vintage

Take advantage that you’re vacationing in the playground of the 1%! At stores like Caprice and Bozar you’ll score yourself some beautiful pieces from Chanel, Givenchy, and more that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. For something truly unique visit Pour Vos Beaux Yeux, a vintage eyeglass store selling glasses and sunglasses ranging from the late 1800’s to today (I even found a pair from the 1992 Olympics!). If you need the lens swapped out they’ll do it for you for free!

Wander Around Old Town

This is where you’ll find it all: cafés, bars, art, street performers, you name it! These winding streets are full of life! During the day visit the Cours Saleya so you can enjoy some local produce and pastries while rifling through vintage posters and books, in the evening stop by El Merkado for some tasty tapas, and if you’re feeling particularly frisky order a drink at the Puzzle Bar, you won’t disappointed.

Stop At A Pharmacy And Pick Up The Best Beauty Products

Just like in Paris some of the best beauty products can be found at your local french pharmacy. Products like Klorane’s Dry Shampoo and Nuxe’s Skin and Hair Oil, which are the french girl’s staples, can be found for cheap since there’s no export taxes added to the price, plus it’s something you’ll definitely get use out of… unlike those cute ‘Nice’ coasters no one will ever use (no matter how hard you try).

What are some of your favorite things to do while in Nice? I would love to know in the comments! Remember to keep up with my daily adventures on Instagram, and as always safe travels!
